Board Position: Sponsorship

PURPOSE:

To support the management team in their goals and objectives while promoting and supporting the vision statement.

VISION:

Provide the best member club experience through excellence in service, course condition, food quality and member comradery.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Sponsorship is responsible for raising funds for Men’s Day and the Greystone Membership in general. The primary goal is to enhance the member experience by providing value to the membership with fun, engaging programs and prizing.

Sponsorship’s secondary responsibility is to create engagement programs and opportunities for sponsors from both the membership and local business.

Sponsorship is responsible to make recommendations, provide pricing and work with the Executive, Staff and Advisory Board with the Sponsors Golf and Dinner Program hosted at the end of each season.

Sponsorship is to provide timely reporting to the GS Executive and Advisory Board on a timely basis.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sponsorship:

  • Develop programs and budgets for sponsorship opportunities
  • Develop & implement sponsor communications
  • Liaison with GS Executive, Advisory Board, Membership & Sponsors
  • Support GS Advisory Board with communications to sponsors
  • Advise & Support GS Staff with communications to the sponsors
  • Inform GS Membership & local business of sponsorship opportunities

Website:

  • Maintain & Update GS Sponsorship website & ecommerce (greystonegolf.ca)
  • Inform, train & support GS Executive, Staff, Advisory Board with sponsorship opportunities

Advisory Board:

  • Attend monthly GS Advisory Board meetings
  • Support GS Management Team in its effort to provide a positive membership experience
  • Communicate back to board and/or management any public comments and concerns

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive image of Greystone.
  • Provide Member Feedback to the Greystone Management Team and Advisory board.
  • Try to participate in Club Captain Events within ClubLink.
  • Support, talk and assist all members when required.
  • Support Men’s Night program including 50/50 fundraiser, promotion of sponsor nights and special events.
  • Help in promoting the business and Vision Statement of Greystone Golf Club.
  • Always be promoting the club to potential new club members and club events to current members.
